Tanjungpinang - The government of Tanjungpinang through the Education Office planned to start face-to-face learning in schools on January 18, 2021.

Head of the Tanjungpinang Education Office, Atmadinata explained, the implementation of face-to-face schools must follow strict health protocols.

"At the earliest, we will open on January 18, 2021, but not all at once because it will be done gradually," said Atma.

He said that later on, schools that would begin the face-to-face learning process would start from schools located in the suburbs.

"As in the past, we saw the number of Covid-19 cases in the region. All study desks are arranged at a distance," he said.

Atma said that his party must be careful in making decisions about the application of face-to-face learning because this concerns health and safety.

"We will see the number of cases first because the consideration of the health of school residents is more important," he said.
