Batam - Pandemic of Corona really hits all sectors. Many workers in Batam, Riau Islands must be fired or laid off. As a result of all this, many workers filed claims for Old Age Protection Insurance (JHT).

Head of Batam BPJamsostek Office, Surya Rizal said that his party has implemented the Lapak Asik Protocol (Service Without Physical Contact), which is a special condition service protocol related to the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

The Stall Asik Protocol is implemented with an online claim service mechanism via the antrian.bpjsketenagak.go.id website and BPJSTKU application.

However, this online service can only provide a quota of services for only 50 participants. So that in the process of implementing the program there are still many complaints from the customers.

"The process is the same only because of the Covid Pandemic-19 there is a reduction in quotas, it can only serve 50 participants where previously we could serve 150 participants outside the service point office (SPO)," Surya said, Friday (1/5/2020) .

From the quota reduction, Surya admitted that many customers came to the office to complain about the quota which was always full.

"The number of underserved services is not documented in our full quota. Sometimes there are people who come here directly because they do not read information and there are also complaints that come in full queues," Surya said.

There are even some customers who use the services of brokers to complete the claim process.

Surya advises customers not to use the services of brokers because it is only detrimental. If caught, the claim process submitted by the broker will not be processed. If successful, the customer will lose some of his claim funds.

"Some of the brokers quoted fees of up to 30 percent. From the disbursement and we do not want that to happen, because that is the customer's money," Surya said.

Although there was a reduction in the daily quota, Surya explained that JHT claims through online queues could be done by customers at 122 branch offices in Batam or pioneer branches throughout Indonesia.
