Karimun - After being reportedly critical, Kundur Police Chief, Commissioner Endi Endarto was reported dead on Wednesday (07/29/2020).

Endi was still breathing when he was being treated at Awal Bros Hospital, Batam, around 20.27 WIB.

"Yes, I got word from doctor Didi (Batam Health Office)," said Azril Apriansyah, spokesman for Covid-19 Batam, when contacted by Batamnews.

He stated, the sad news indeed came from a member of the National Police who had previously been treated for exposure to Covid-19.

The patient, also reportedly had a critical moment during treatment. When he was treated, he was using a ventilator.

"For further information, I have not been able to. Later we will convey more," he said.

His wife was also reportedly under the supervision of a doctor, due to close contact with her.

"Wife and children, because of close contact. Yesterday it was delivered (released)," Azril said.
