Two Tanjungpinang Residents Are Covid-19 Positive, One of Them Is an Army

Tanjungpinang - Two Tanjungpinang residents were confirmed positive for Covid-19. One of these new patients is an active member of the TNI (Indonesian Army) who just returned from Surabaya and Jakarta on Tuesday (07/28/2020).

The Mayor of Tanjungpinang, Rahma said, the two patients were found positive after they received the results of the PCR swab examination.

"These two patients have just returned from traveling outside the region, namely Surakarta, Surabaya, and Jakarta," Rahma said.

Rahma explained, first for Mu patients (46) male, Jalan Brigjen Katamso, Kelurahan Tanjung Unggat, Bukit Bestari District. He was included in the family cluster and close contact with patients number 30, 31, and 32.

"The person taking the swab was taken twice with negative results. But after re-checking the swab the results were positive," he said.

Then for the second patient with the initial AC (29) male is an active member of the TNI and lives on Nusantara street, Batu 9 Sub-District, East Tanjungpinang.

"He was involved in his task in Surabaya for the past 3 months. On June 9, 2020, he traveled from Surabaya to Jakarta and stayed in Jakarta for 1 week," he continued.

"On July 24, 2020, he left for Tanjungpinang by helicopter with a total of 4 passengers including pilots," he said.

Upon arrival at Tanjungpinang, a Rapid Test was conducted on all personnel and the results were that the AC was declared Reactive.

Then when continued with swab taking and PCR results on July 27, 2020, he was declared positive for COVID 19. "At the moment the condition is stable, healthy without complaints," explained Rahma.
