Batam - Hundreds of online motorcycle-taxi (Gojek) drivers come to the Batam Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) office, Thursday (07/09/2020). They rallied to protest the program issued by the application manager that was considered unprofitable.

The Gojek drivers have been protesting in front of the Barelang Mapolresta. In his speech, in front of the Batam DPRD office, an orator demanded PT Gojek Indonesia to eliminate the Berkat program.

"We demand to be returned to the initial incentive scheme," he said

Besides, they also asked the application company to evaluate the current rates and reduce the 20 percent discount. They deplore the decision of the application company which is considered one-sided

"Supposedly, a system change like this should involve Gojek Partners, through a survey message in the application. Not secretly directly like this," he said again.

Another Gojek driver, Idan complained, with the new system the income was far reduced. For example when one order with a tariff of 13 thousand, then he only gets 8 thousand.

"The percentage taken is quite large, it is better to be returned as before," he said.
