On December 2, 899 Thousand Batam Residents Have Been Vaccinated Against COVID-19

Batam, Batamnews - The achievement of Covid-19 vaccination in Batam, Riau Islands continues to move up. As of December 2, 2021, 99.13 percent or 899,397 people have been vaccinated.

For Batam residents aged over 18 years who were included in the Covid-19 vaccination target, and received the first dose as many as 782,703 people or 99.15 percent.

As for the second dose, the realization of vaccination has reached 81 percent or 639,483 people.

Meanwhile, the realization of vaccinations for Batam residents who are categorized as elderly (elderly) has reached 81.89 percent or 23,663 people and the second dose has reached 66.67 percent or 19,371 people.

"This vaccination achievement data was taken from the Covid-19 Handling Committee and National Economic Recovery (KPC-PEN)," said Didi, Friday (12/3/2021).

The realization of vaccination for students has also reached 99.01 percent or 116,694 people for the first dose, while the second dose has reached 83.76 percent or 98,728 people.

Overall, the total realization of the Covid-19 vaccination has reached 99.13 percent or 899,397 people for the first dose.

The second dose has reached 81.36 percent or 738,211 people. That way, Batam's vaccination achievement is almost 100 percent.

"The achievement of vaccination in Batam City is the highest in Riau Islands, while for all of Indonesia, Riau Islands ranks fourth," he said.
