Tanjungpinang - All governors and a set of Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (FKPD) leaderships will be thoroughly vaccinated next Thursday (14/1/2021). Regional Secretary of Riau Islands, Arif Fadillah, said this was an instruction from the central.

In the first stage, 13 thousand doses of the Sinovac vaccine arrived. Meanwhile, on Thursday (7/1/2021) 12 thousand doses of vaccine are scheduled to arrive again.

The Regional Building in Tanjungpinang will be the location for vaccination. "The vaccination plan is planned to be carried out at the Regional Building in Tanjungpinang," said Arif after handing over the National Advisory Council (DPA) of the Riau Islands' 2021 Local Government Budget (APBD) in Tanjungpinang on Thursday (7/1/2021).

On January 15, it will be the mayor, regent, and its line up turns to be vaccinated. This will be carried out in each district/city.

Meanwhile, the vaccination for health workers will be carried out in their respective workplaces at the same time.

He said on Monday (11/1/2021) next week the Covid-19 vaccine will begin to be distributed to all districts/cities in Riau Islands.

"For distribution, we use aircraft and also special ships equipped with coolers," he said.

The delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine for the second stage, explained Arif, according to the agenda today Thursday (7/1/2021) will arrive through Tanjungpinang Raja Haji Fisabilillah (RHF) airport using Garuda aircraft.

"Yes, the schedule is advanced for the delivery of vaccines for Riau Islands. Today we will pick them up and then will be stored in a storage area at the Pharmacy Installation Building of Riau Island Health Office," he explained.

Previously, the Head of the Riau Islands Provincial Health Office, M Basri, said that the number of vaccines that came on the first stage was 13 thousand doses and would be taken directly to be stored in a special place that had been prepared.
