Tanjungpinang - Head of the Riau Islands Provincial Health Office, M Bisri, said of the total recipients of the Covid-19 vaccine in the Riau Islands Province, specifically for medical workers, there were 12,095 people.

In details, there are 2,624 in Tanjungpinang, 4,272 in Batam,  1,120 in Karimun, 1,444 in Bintan, 919 in Natuna, 843 in Lingga, and 873 in Anambas Islands.

"So the total number of medical workers who will be vaccinated is 12,095 people. Moreover, each medical worker later will be vaccinated twice. If it is multiplied by two, it means there will be 24,190 doses of the vaccine for the medical workers," Bisri said, Tuesday (5/1/2021).

The rest of the Covid-19 vaccine is still 810 doses. It means that there are still 405 doses for people who will be vaccinated assuming there will be two injections.

"The remaining 405 doses will later be given to Head of Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) in the Riau Islands Provincial Government and also to a set of Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (FKPD) and leaders in Riau Islands," he said.
