Batam - The graph of the Covid-19 case in Batam is still moving actively. After a spike in cases at the end of August 2020, the first week of September 2020 the addition of cases sloped.

However, the total for the first week of September was still in the explosion case category, with 105 new cases. The task force team (gugus tugas/gugas) also released an additional nine cases on Saturday (5/9/2020).

The good news was received from recovered patients. The Gugas team released 28 recovered Covid-19 patients in Batam, Saturday (5/9/2020).

A cumulative total of 772 cases was reported in Batam. Of that number 422 cases were declared cured and 34 cases had died. Currently, 316 people were undergoing quarantine and treatment as Covid-19 patients in Batam.

This number has the potential to increase considering that 87 swab specimens are currently under examination awaiting results. If positive, of course, the patient is required to undergo quarantine and treatment.

Covid cases in Batam have increased since the first week of August 2020 with 11 additional cases, the second week of August 2020 (52), the third week of August 2020 (85), and exploded in the fourth week of August 2020 with 187 additional cases. 

The number of additional cases decreased in the first week of September 2020, although the number remains transparent to 105 cases.
