Jakarta - Bank Indonesia issued a special rupiah currency to commemorate Indonesia's 75th Anniversary. Similar to the 75th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the money which was officially issued on Monday (17/8/2020) was special money of IDR 75,000.

Following the invitation to the special money issuance of Rp. 75,000, Bank Indonesia said that this took the momentum of commemorating Indonesia's 75th Anniversary. "Inauguration of the Issuance of the 75th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia," stated Bank Indonesia at the invitation to the media event.

Even though it has not been officially launched yet, in the digital universe there have been many pictures of the special rupiah currency that will be issued. On the front side, there is a picture of the proclaimers of Indonesian independence, namely Bung Karno and Bung Hatta. There is also a picture of the moments of the proclamation and hoisting of Sang Saka Merah Putih.

While the backside contains pictures of traditional clothing from various regions in Indonesia.

But those who are aware of the launch implicitly confirmed the design, as reported by Kumparan, "There have been many pictures circulating. The public already knows."

Reportedly, the amount of money printed was limited, only 250 thousand pieces. So it is more of a collectible item, even though it is still valid for payment.

Special rupiah currency is defined as money issued specifically by Bank Indonesia to commemorate a certain event or purpose. The money has a face value that is different from the sale value.
