Jokowi Sends Tito and Mahfud to Natuna
Natuna, Batamnews - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md and Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian were sent by Jokowi to Natuna, Tuesday (11/23/2021)
They also brought a team from the National Border Management Agency (BNPP). Some issues related to border areas in the Natuna Regency were discussed.
Tito emphasized that the state would not take this border-related issue lightly. According to him, various aspects need to be strengthened.
"One of our main discussions is related to strengthening national borders. The Natuna region often has border conflicts with several neighboring countries such as Vietnam and China," Tito explained after the meeting at the Natuna Regent's Office.
He explained that the conflict occurred due to territorial claims between neighboring countries. According to him, two things need to be improved, namely the presence of the military and strengthening traditional instruments such as the development of the economic, development, and marine sectors in Natuna.
"Currently, the construction of the National Border Post (PLBN) on Serasan Island will soon be realized," said Tito.
In addition, military needs such as the improvement of defense equipment and fleets are not spared from the 'problem spending' of the two Jokowi cabinet ministers.
