Natuna, Batamnews - The District Government (Pemkab) of Natuna, Riau Islands (Kepri), aggressively vaccinates the community for Covid-19.

Quoted from Batamnews from the official website of the Natuna Regency Government, data from the local Health Office (Dinkes) revealed that the achievement of Covid-19 vaccination in the district as of July 2, 2021, as many as 32,303 people had been vaccinated.

The details, namely, 32,434 (57.55 percent) of people who were injected with the first dose of vaccine, and 2,869 (8.85 percent) who had received the second dose of injection.

Acting (Plt) Head of the Natuna Health Office, Hikmat Aliansyah said the number of vaccination targets in Natuna Regency was 56,354. This means that there are 23,920 people or 42.45 percent who have not been vaccinated.

"What the public needs to understand is that before they are vaccinated, there will be a screening process. In this process, medical personnel will identify whether the public's health conditions meet health standards to be vaccinated," he said, Friday (2/7/2021).

Hikmat, who is also the Spokesperson for the Task Force (Satgas) for the Acceleration of Handling Covid 19 in Natuna Regency, explained that due to the large number of hoax news circulating about vaccines, the government continues to provide education and socialization regarding the vaccine implementation procedure.

If the condition of the candidate for the vaccine is in good health, the vaccination process will be carried out. Even after the vaccination process, residents will be given medicine to reduce the after-effects and if there are serious effects, they can call the number of health workers listed on the vaccine card they receive.

"We hope that with this procedure, people will no longer be afraid to be vaccinated. Because the vaccine process is carried out with health standards," he concluded.
