Batam, Batamnews - The first day of work after the Eid holiday, the Head of BP Batam, HM Rudi took the time to visit Batu Ampar Port, Monday (17/5/2021) morning.

Rudi said he was reviewing the port's preparation to make some improvements.

"We deliberately come to check the preparation of the port. According to orders from the president, vice president, and the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, this port must be clean. There are no more warehouses standing in this port. Alhamdulillah, it is getting clean, the promise is on May 25 at the latest. Everything will be clean, "said Rudi.

The activities to clean up the port area, at the request of the central government. This is so that BP Batam transforms Batu Ampar Port into a modern and better port.

BP Batam has prepared a port development plan. This development is carried out in stages using the current budget.

"I reviewed everything, not just containers, but cranes, warehouses, everything. Due to limited finances, we will do step by step," said Rudi.

If the services and facilities are provided properly, said Rudi, the activity and loading and unloading volume will increase.
