Batam, Batamnews - Deputy Mayor of Batam, Amsakar Achmad, reviewed face-to-face learning in several schools, Thursday (1/4/2021). Amsakar ensured that health protocol (PTM) runs well according to procedures.

Previously, four schools in Batam were closed again because cases of students exposed to Covid were found.

However, the cases that occurred were concluded from the family cluster. This means that they are not exposed to Covid-19 at school.

The schools reviewed by Amsakar were SMPN 12 in Batam District, SD 005 Lubuk Baja, and SMPN 41 in Lubuk Baja.

"I concluded that schools are still open because the inspection we did today is the same commitment to implement the health protocol," said Amsakar.

He emphasized this commitment from the relevant stakeholders, the Batam Education Office (Disdik), schools, and parents.

Amsakar admitted that Batam Kota and Lubuk Baja are still not out of the red zone area. The number of Covid-19 cases in the region is still fluctuating.

On this occasion, Amsakar talked with some students. Various questions were asked such as, with whom they went to school and where it was a better place to study between home or school.

All students answered simultaneously that they were sent by their parents. They even seem happy and enthusiastic about learning at school rather than at home.
