Tanjungpinang - Riau Islands Provincial Government prepared to build isolation rooms for Covid-19 patients who undergo treatment.

Yusmanedi, The Director of Raja Ahmad Tabib Tanjungpinang Regional Hospital, said that the special isolation rooms would be built behind the government hospital.

"The building will consist of 4 floors," said Yusmanedi in Tanjungpinang, Thursday (28/1/2021) yesterday.

He added that the construction of the room was intended so that Covid-19 patients who were undergoing treatment would no longer be mixed with other patients with other diseases.

He continued that for now because there are no buildings and rooms specifically for Covid-19 patients, those patients are still put in mixed rooms. However, it has a safety barrier.

"So the future building is designed specifically for Covid-19 patients. To comply with standards, because all this time it has been mixed," he explained.

When he was asked about the budget allocation for the construction of the building, Yusmanedi explained that it's still being calculated so far.

He said for the construction of patient care rooms especially for Covid-19 patients, there must be a special standard from the Ministry of Health.

"So I cannot say it yet, because it is still being calculated and it will not take long," he said.
