Batam - Kompol Gunadi, husband of the Head of Batam Bhayangkara Hospital, Dr. Novita Handayani 'passed away'. The man who served as Head of the BP Batam Asset and Installation Sub-Directorate was also confirmed positive of Covid-19.

Regional Police of Riau Islands, Kombes Haris Mohammad ensured that Bhayangkara Hospital services to continue. Dr. Novita himself underwent independent isolation at home.

"He (Gunadi) did not get infected in the hospital (Bhayangkara Hospital), he worked at BP Batam. Except if our nurses who got it, "said Haris when confirmed, Friday (11/13/2020).

Regarding the Head of Bhayangkara Hospital, Haris confirmed that Dr. Novita was undergoing independent isolation while waiting for the swab test result.

"Because her husband has Covid, she must conduct independent isolation. I represent Head of Regional Police of Riau Islands, along with ranks, to express my deepest condolences to those who have been left behind, "he said.

Kompol Gunadi died at dawn on Friday (11/13/2020) at around 04.35 WIB. He was treated by the Batam Business Administration Hospital (RSBP).
