Karimun - Services in the UGD Muhammad Sani Regional General Hospital (RSUD) were temporarily closed. This was after one of the health workers (health workers) was confirmed positive for Covid-19.

The head of the Karimun District Health Office, Rachmadi, provided information that there was a positive officer from the emergency department, Muhammad Sani Hospital.

Information obtained by batamnews, the officer who was infected was a doctor. However, the Health Office has not given more details about this information.

"For initial information from BTKL Batam, we convey that there is one positive person from the emergency department," said Rachmadi, Friday (2/10/2020).

To prevent the spread of transmission to officers or the community seeking treatment, emergency services are temporarily closed.

"To prevent transmission, between officers and the community, the hospital management policy temporarily closes the emergency room," said the spokesman for the COVID-19 Task Force in Karimun Regency.

Rachmadi said that the closure of services at the UGD at Muhammad Sani Hospital was carried out during the PCR process from contact tracing. "Tracing and swab have been carried out by more than 100 people," he said.
