Tanjungpinang - The Chief Executive of Riau Islands Covid-19 Task Force Team, Tengku Said Arif Fadillah, warned team members not to spread out Covid data carelessly. Moreover, those who have no authority in conveying information officially.

He asked team members to work according to their main duties and functions, and not carelessly indulge in internal data, especially those that the team had not officially released.

"I remind the Covid-19 Task Force Team to work professionally. Do it according to its main job," said Arif responding to the news that the Imam of the Nur Ilahi Dompak Grand Mosque was positive for corona, in Tanjungpinang, Monday (21/9/2020).

Arif emphasized that if the data submitted to the media or the public is incorrect and invalid, it will make the public fear and cause anxiety. Moreover, for example, data related to sensitive religious activities.

"I will reprimand the members of the Covid-19 Task Force Team. Don't let them do it again which will have fatal consequences," said the former Secretary of Karimun District.

His concern was not without reason. Previously, the information had circulated that a mosque imam at the Dompak Great Mosque (Masjid Nur Ilahi) was positive for Covid. However, it turned out to be misinformation that leaked from team members to the public.

Finally, one of the spokesmen for the Riau Islands Covid-19 Task Force, Muhammad Bisri, explained that the information was incorrect.
