Batam - Services for the Regional Public Hospital (RSUD) Embung Fatimah Batam reopened after being closed for 14 days, Monday (14/9/2020).

"Thank God tomorrow on Monday, September 14, 2020, we will again provide medical services to Batam people and its surroundings," said Public Relations of Embung Fatimah Novita Hospital in Batam, Sunday (13/9/2020).

The emergency services at Embung Fatimah Hospital have been temporarily closed since August 28, 2020, because some staff and health workers on duty were confirmed positive for Covid-19 there.

The closure of services was aimed to break the chain of coronavirus transmission in hospitals.

Now, some staff and health workers have been declared cured, including the Deputy Director of the RSUD.

The RSUD has also conducted large-scale swab tests for officers, and the results were negative. Because of that, the services at the RSUD were reopened.

"We apologize for the inconvenience earlier, for two weeks we were unable to provide public health services to the public," he said.

The RSUD also expressed gratitude for the enthusiasm and support from the community, so that they could pass the quarantine period well.

"Hopefully we will always be protected by God Almighty and do not forget that health protocol will remain our priority," he said. As reported by Antara.
