One Positive Tanjungpinang Citizen After Traveling from Africa

Tanjungpinang - One additional case was reported by the Tanjungpinang COVID-19 Task Force Team, Friday (07/10/2020).

Acting Official Mayor of Tanjungpinang in a written statement said that the addition was a resident of Tanjungpinang.

"As a result of the swab examination using the PCR method that we just received. The relevant person is the 28th patient in Tanjungpinang, 45 days after the last case was confirmed," he said.

His identity is Su (52 years old), male, resident of Jl R.H Fisabilillah, Batu Sembilan Sub-District, Tanjungpinang Timur District.

Su is a passenger of Garuda Airlines on July 8, 2020.

After landing from the Garuda plane, the patient went straight to RAT Hospital to conduct Rapid Tests of antibodies with reactive results.

"Patients were immediately quarantined at the Shelter House and the results of the PCR laboratory on July 9, 2020, the results were positive," Rahma said.

RDT and PCR checks are carried out independently by the relevant parties in their awareness because they have only traveled from infected countries and regions before returning home.

"Based on the results of the Epidemiological Investigation it was found that Mr. Su came from Congo (Africa) and transited in France, Qatar, and Jakarta," he said.

During the trip, Su continued to practice social distancing and wearing a mask. Before leaving from Congo, Su had conducted a PCR examination with negative results on July 3, 2020.

After arriving at the Soekarno Hatta Airport, there was no RDT. Su stayed for 2 days at the Ibis Style Hotel Soetta Airport. He traveled from Congo to Jakarta with 1 of his friends who lived in Jakarta.

"Currently, there are no symptoms of Covid-19 felt by Mr. Su. May Allah SWT bless and protect us all," Rahma said.
