A Suspicious Singaporean was Observed by Batam Health Office Right After The Arrival

Batam - A foreign citizen from Singapore underwent observation at the hotel where he stayed conducted by the Batam Health Office.

The chief of the Batam Health Office, Didi Kusmarjadi, said that the foreign citizen was briefly taken to Awal Bros Hospital (RSAB). He showed symptoms of illness on Friday (2/28/2020) afternoon since he just arrived in Batam.

Related to his condition, Didi said that he only had a fever so far. His sides also provides a health alert card (HAC). He wanted to make sure that the foreigner citizen showed no major symptoms of corona virus victims.

"It's still a normal fever, without any other symptoms," he said when he confirmed Batamews.

Kadinkes (The chief of the Batam Health Office) explained, the major symptoms of corona victims were fever, flu, shortness of breath. "(If this) is Just a fever. Will not be treated, just an observation at the hotel, "said Didi emphasized.

Regarding the Healt Alert Card, Didi said that there were several foreign citizens who had been given. This card is also an internationally accepted standard.

In the card it is stated that within 14 days of arrival to Indonesia, if someone’s feeling sick or having high temperature (heat) and the symptoms of influenza, it is expected to immediately report to the hospital or health center and show the card.

"We have usually given this card," Didi said.
