Batam, Batamnews - The Anti-Terror Special Detachment (Densus) 88 team arrested four suspected terrorists from two different locations in Sagulung District, Batam, Riau Islands (Kepri), Thursday (16/12/2021).

According to information compiled by Batamnews, the two different locations are in the Cambodian Plot and the Nato Permata Plot. Precisely in Buana Raya Housing and Kampung Tua Dapur 12.

The Head of Subid for Penmas Bidhumas of the Riau Islands Police, Kompol Robby Topan Manusiwa said the terrorists were secured by a joint team.

"The one who secured the Densus 88 Team for the Riau Islands Region," said Roby.

However, the team was also backed up by officers from the Riau Islands Regional Police. The arrests took place from 10:00 WIB until 15:00 WIB.

After that, the terrorists were suspected of being detained at the Barelang Police Station. Batamnews has been looking for further information regarding the chronology of this arrest.
