Batam, Batamnews - The Covid-19 distribution map in Batam shows green zones in Batu Ampar District, Galang District and Bulang District. The green zone is based on active Covid cases per district. It means 0 active cases.

Meanwhile, the sub-districts of Batu Aji, Sei Beduk, Sagulung, Sekupang, Batam Kota have the status of a red zone, in this case, the number of active cases is above 21 cases. The yellow zone, where active cases are between 1-10 cases in two sub-districts, namely Nongsa District and Belakang Padang District.

The Batam Covid-19 Task Force reported data as of August 29, as many as 269 active cases, from a record of 25,457 total cases. Of the total number of cases, as many as 24,384 cases were declared cured.

In percentage terms, the active case rate is 1.057%, the cure rate is 95.785%. The total number of deaths is 804 cases or 3.158% of the Covid death rate in Batam.

The increase in cases as of August 29 was 22 new cases with details of 17 symptomatic, 4 OTG, and 1 case traveling from outside. While 27 patients were reported to have recovered and 2 patients died.
