The Last Three Red Zones of Sub-Districts in Batam

Batam, Batamnews - The red zone of the spread of Covid-19 has drastically reduced in urban villages, Batam, Riau Islands. As of Tuesday (8/24/2021), only three sub-districts are still in the red zone status.

The Batam Covid-19 Task Force Team stated that the three sub-districts were in Batam District, namely Belian, Baloi Park, and Baloi Permai.

The number of active cases in the three urban villages is in the range of 24 to 43 cases.

In the other 11 sub-districts, the Covid-19 distribution zone is dominated by the yellow, green, and orange zones.

This zoning change is thought to be a result of the decline in positive cases of Covid-19 in Batam in recent days.

Today, 43 new positive cases of Covid-19 were reported. This addition increased significantly compared to the previous day as many as 24 cases only.

Cumulatively, there are now 25,323 cases, with patients being treated increasing to 358 people or 1.41 percent.

Meanwhile, additional patients recovered not as much as the previous day. It is reported that 35 people have been declared cured of Corona.

The cure rate is still in the range of 95 percent, which is as many as 24,174 people.

Meanwhile, the number of patients who died increased by 2 people. The death rate is 3.12 percent or as many as 791 people.
