Tanjungpinang, Batamnews - The Covid-19 vaccination program for people of Riau Islands Province during Ramadan is attempted to be carried out at night. This is conducted to meet the national vaccine target.

Head of Riau Islands Provincial Health Office Mochammad Bisri said it had to be carefully considered about its implementation.

"Vaccination at night, of course, requires a vaccinator or officers who are ready. Besides, there must be adequate lighting," said Bisri, Saturday (27/3/2021).

For this reason, added Bisri, the night vaccination during Ramadan still needs to be considered because it requires enough and adequate preparation. On the other hand, his party pursues a national vaccine target.

"The government, through the Ministry of Religion and MUI, has said that this vaccine does not break the fast. Therefore, it can be maximally carried out in this Ramadan," he said.

Medically, vaccination does not harm endurance for people who fast.

"Of course, research has been carried out by a team of experts, so that the government allows people to be vaccinated during the fast. At most, the impact of vaccination affects during the day or evening. It appears weak and sleepy and that's a common thing," he said.
