125 Indonesian Migrant Workers Are Swabbed at Tanjungpinang Harbor

Tanjungpinang - As many as 125 Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) from Malaysia were swabbed after arriving at Sri Bintan International Port, Tanjungpinang, Wednesday (11/11/2020).

Head of the Tanjungpinang Port Health Office, Agus Jamaludin, said his party was imposing strict health protocols on Indonesian citizens who would arrive in Tanjungpinang this afternoon.

"We are undergoing treatment for handling Covid-19, the information said that there are as many as 125 people", said Agus.

He explained that passengers and their belongings would be sprayed with disinfectant after arriving at the port.

"For passengers, there will be swab test and independent isolation at the RPTC shelter in Senggarang," he said.

His team deployed 30 officers who used complete Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
