34 Islamic Boarding School Students Recover from Corona in Bintan

Bintan - A total of 34 students from the Darus Ilmi Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) Toapaya District, Bintan Regency were declared cured after undergoing isolation for several days. Meanwhile, 7 other students were still undergoing treatment.

The Head of the Bintan Health Service (Dinkes), Dr. Gama AF Isnaeni, said that 41 students were declared infected with Covid-19. However, after undergoing isolation at the Kepri Education Quality Assurance Institute (LPMP) building in the Ijuk niche, 34 students were declared cured.

"34 students who were declared cured have been sent home. Meanwhile, 7 people are still in isolation," said Gama, Wednesday (7/10/2020).

Seven students who were still positive for COVID were undergoing isolation. However, their place of isolation was not in LPMP Kepri anymore, but has moved to the Rumah Singgih RSUP Raja Ahmad Tabib (RAT) Kepri in Batu 8, Tanjungpinang.

"So they have taken the swab 3-4 times but the results are still positive. So that the isolation is referred to RSUP RAT Kepri," he said.

Head of Toapaya sub-district, Neppy Purwanto, said that 34 students who were declared cured of Covid-19 had been discharged. However, his return was not to the Darus Ilmi Ponpes, but to their home.

"Evacuation of their repatriation is carried out in stages using motorbikes, motorbikes and pick-ups. Once between 2 students at once, starting from 08.30 WIB until finished," he said.

The boarding school Darus Ilmi was vacated for a while. Because there will be sterilization by spraying disinfectants. So from that moment, the students will also carry out their learning activities through online.

"Even though they return home they still have to undergo independent isolation for the next 14 days. They also learn through online from home," he said.
