Batam - The Daily Chairperson of the Covid-19 Task Force in Anambas Regency, Riau Islands Province (Kepri) Sahtiar confirmed that as many as 53 oil dan gas company's workers (offshore) of  Premier Oil in the area were positive for Covid-19, Saturday (29/8/2020).

"The information we received was like that, but all workers have been brought to Jakarta for intensive treatment," said Sahtiar.

Furthermore, the entire list of positive workers for Covid-19 entered Jakarta's data, not Anambas. In addition, the places where the Covid-19 spread is all from offshore.

Nevertheless, his party continues to regularly monitor at the operating base of the oil and gas cooperation contract contractor in Matak, Anambas Regency, both those returning from offshore and from Jakarta to anticipate the transmission of Covid-19 in the area.

The Task Force also communicates with the oil and gas company to keep them informed of the latest developments in Matak and offshore.

"People don't need to worry, but they still follow health protocols by using masks, washing their hands regularly, and keeping their distance," he said.
