The examination is based on the findings of new cases of Batam residents who examined themselves independently, as well as the results of contact tracing of previous cases in Batam.

The new case consisted of two men and two women. The team in their written release said that the additions were recorded as Cases 235, 236, 237, and 238.

Case 236 is a woman (F), 80 years old, a housewife who lives in the residential area of ​​Kampung Jawa, Sekanak Raya Village, Balik Padang District.

In connection with the follow-up of the contact tracing conducted by the surveillance team on the case of his grandchildren, the person concerned on June 18, 2020, was examined for a Throat Swab whose results were known on June 21, 2020, with a confirmed "Negative".

However, considering that she was a closes contact, on the 30th June 2020 a second Throat Swab examination was carried out, the results of which were known today with a "Positive" confirmation.

Her condition is stable, but considering her old age and having a history of pelvic disorders, she will then be placed in an isolation/quarantine treatment room at the Batam RSBP referral hospital in Batam.
