Batam - Batam Covid-19 Management Task Force Team released three positive cases on Wednesday (04/06/2020). So that the cumulative Covid-19 case in Batam became 154 cases.

Batam Team Chairman, Muhammad Rudi said the addition of this case was related to the House of Glory (HOG) church cluster in Eden Park and the Tabligh congregation from India (Case 32) who had died.

This additional case consists of two men and a woman. One of them died before the swab test results came out.

Case 152, is a 15-year-old boy, he lives in Tanjung Sengkuang Area, Batu Ampar.

He is known to be a neighbor of positive number 95 (Tabligh Congregation Cluster). At that time on May 27, 2020, this patient and his parents had a friendly visit to patient number 95.

"From the tracing results, due to contact with case 95, he and his parents were swab-tested, and the results were confirmed positive while his parents were negative," Rudi said in a press release received by Batamnews.

Then Case 153, is a woman (43 years). He is a health laboratory analyst at a private hospital in Batam.

She lives at the Sentra Melati housing estate in Belian Village, Batam.

The woman had close contact with patient number 123 (HOG cluster) and her family when taking a throat swab. For this reason, the COVID team also asked her for a swab test, and it was also confirmed that she was positive Covid-19.

Finally, Case number 154, a man who is a Foreign Worker (TKA) company in the Cammo Industrial Center Batam Center, he lives in the residential Purimas Resident I, Batam.

Malaysian foreign worker died at his home on Sunday 31 May 2020 morning around 07.15 WIB. He reportedly had a history of hypertension and heart disease. The Batam sub-district team took him to the Bhayangkara Hospital and performed a medical procedure in the form of a swab test. The results came out today with positive confirmed.

With the addition of this case, an update Thursday 4 June 2020, concluded the cumulative case of Batam Covid-19 to 154 cases with details of 12 cases of death, 48 cases of recovery, and 94 cases of surveillance and care.
