Tanjungpinang - The wife of the Mayor of Tanjungpinang, Siti Zuhairiah Syahrul and a private doctor were tested positive for the Corona or Covid-19 virus.

Spokesperson of the Covid-19 Task Force for Riau Islands Province Tjetjep Yudiana said the certainty was based on the results of the swab test.

"Yes we are concerned and sad, Mr. Syahrul's wife and Mr. Syahrul's personal doctor are positive with Covid-19," said Tjetjep in Tanjungpinang via WA on Saturday (4/18/2020).

The result of the city swab and a private doctor in this city, Tjetjep said, was received on Friday (4/17/2020) night. The swab test for the two men was carried out in Batam.

However, continued Tjetjep, all of them were not treated in the hospital.

"Because it has no symptoms, the quarantine is independent at home," explained the Head of the Riau Islands Health Office.
