Batam, Batamnews.co.id – Muhammad Rudi, the Head of the Batam Management Authority (BP Batam), has announced the commencement of the Sungai Ladi Flyover project slated to begin in November this year. The announcement was made during the BP Batam Investment Award 2023 held at the Radisson Hotel & Convention last Friday.

In his address, Rudi highlighted several other significant infrastructure projects, including the construction of Terminal II at Hang Nadim Batam International Airport, which aims to accommodate up to 8 million passengers annually. "Next month, we hope to start the construction of the Sungai Ladi Flyover, which will inevitably disrupt some activities," Rudi stated in October 2023.

The flyover project will be a collaborative effort with South Korea through the Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC). Additionally, the development of the Batu Ampar Port will be enhanced with the installation of four new STS Cranes to improve container loading and unloading facilities.

Rudi expressed his hope that the completion of these infrastructure projects will transform Batam into a modern, competitive city on both regional and global stages. While apologizing for the potential disruption to the community's activities during construction, he urged understanding from the public for the greater progress of Batam.

Furthermore, Rudi invited business owners to continue investing and growing with BP Batam, buoyed by the support from the Consul General of Singapore who was also present at the event.
