Batam, Batamnews - Batamnews won an award as a media that cares for merchants and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Batam City, Riau Islands.

The award for Batamnews was given by Gerakan Restorasi Pedagang dan UMKM or GARPU (GARPU- Merchants Restoration Movement and MSME) on September 18, 2022. 

Secretary of Garpu Kepri, Endang Dewi Socowati, said that most of the award criteria were on Batamnews. Therefore Batamnews was the only media that received the award. 

"Media criteria that even in several events organized by Batamnews involve MSMEs, such as bazaars and others. So it is not just providing news information, but also providing space for marketing MSMEs," she said Monday (17/10/2022). 

She admitted, Batamnews gave more space to MSME activists and observers more room for movement. Of course, it is assisted by Batamnews to facilitate the news. 

She hopes that Batamnews will continue to oversee government policies related to KUR assistance, MSME capitalization, and so on so that assistance is right on target. 

Then stay consistent when making events involving MSMEs so that MSMEs are proud when the news is covered in Batamnews. 

“At least they were helped by the news published," she concluded. 

In addition to the media, there are also other categories given. Such as influencers, observers, and activists of MSMEs. It is known that Batamnews has also held several activities involving local MSMEs to promote community business. 

Most recently, Batamnews held the Batamnews Festival Vol III 2022 at Dataran Engku Putri Batam on October 10-16 and was attended by hundreds of MSME tenants.
