Karimun Starts to Reopen Schools in Four Districts

Karimun, Batamnews - Schools in four sub-districts in Karimun Regency will carry out face-to-face learning, Monday (15/3/2021).

Karimun District, Tebing District, Meral District, and West Meral District are already included in the green zone category. Various considerations were also seen.

"The decision to start face-to-face learning was taken after various inputs and considerations were conveyed in the coordination meeting," said the acting (Plt) Head of the Karimun Regency Education Office, Fajar Harison.

The schools that will implement face-to-face learning tomorrow are for the PAUD, SD, SMP levels.

For the implementation that will be carried out, learning is applied alternately or in shifts. For the junior high school level, learning is only 4 hours a day.

"The first shift starts at 7.30 WIB until 10.30 WIB and the second shift starts at 10.30 WIB," he said.

Then for face-to-face learning at the PAUD level only lasts 1.5 hours starting at 7.30 WIB.

Meanwhile, face-to-face learning is carried out with an on-off system for only 2 hours a day, starting from Monday to Saturday, from 7.30 WIB.

Fajar reminded that during face-to-face learning, health protocols must be prioritized.

Apart from that, it was also decided at the meeting that there were no rest hours and no open canteen.
