Roro Punggur Port to Immediately Use Genose C-19 to Detect Covid

Batam - Roro Telaga Punggur Port will immediately operate a Covid 19 detector made by Gajah Mada University (UGM), known as GeNose C-19.

Director-General of Land Transportation, Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Setiadi explained, as the agency responsible for ferry terminals and docks, his party had ordered 200 GeNose equipment.

President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, Ira Puspadewi, agrees that the plan will be implemented soon.

GeNose C-19 developed by Gadjah Mada University has been approved by the government.

This artificial intelligence (AI) -based tool, in the form of an "electronic nose", will be able to analyze respiratory samples and find out if there are elements that are only existed in Covid-19.

This tool made by UGM can get a result in 80 seconds with an accuracy rate of 90 percent so far. It is hoped that this tool can increase the number of tests in Indonesia
