Tanjungpinang - The Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) office of PT Tanjungpinang Makmur Bersama on Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands was burglarized on Tuesday (2/2/2021).

The Director of the Tanjungpinang BUMD, Irwandi said the theft incident was found when one of his employees came to work and saw the office door was open.

"It was discovered at 07.00 WIB earlier when employees entered the office and saw that the items in the room were messy," said Irwandi.

The rooms that were ransacked by the perpetrators were the main director's room on the 3rd floor and the finance section on the 1st floor of the office.

"So far, two laptops in the finance department and a number of documents have been known to be missing," he said.

Irwandi could not provide further information regarding the missing documents because he said, his party was still collecting data.

"The documents in the finance, we will tell you what documents, we are still collecting data because the rooms are scattered," he said.

Irwandi did not want to suspect that the missing files and laptops were related to the case being investigated by the State Prosecutor's Office (Kejari).

"We also cannot predict whether there is any connection with yesterday's problem. Let the authorities decide," he said.
