Batam - The queue of prospective passengers taking the antigen rapid test was seen booming at Hang Nadim Airport, Batam, Riau Islands on Tuesday (12/22/2020).

These prospective passengers on average have destinations to 6 cities in several provinces that require an attachment to the antigen rapid test results if they are about to enter certain areas such as, Jakarta, West Java, Yogyakarta, Malang, Bali, and Central Java.

Airport managers have prepared a special location for the antigen rapid test. It is not far from the departure gate of Hang Nadim Airport.

Rini, a prospective passenger traveling to Jakarta, said the government's latest regulation made it even more difficult for residents to travel.

"It's getting more complicated and not many people are informed about the rules for the rapid antigen test," he said.

Getting around the long queue, Rini admitted that she was at the airport about 4 hours before her departure.

The same thing was conveyed by another prospective passenger, Muklis. He admitted that he chose to take the antigen rapid test before buying a ticket.

This was done to anticipate the results of the rapid test and to miss the plane.

"I queued since 09.30 and finished at 12.00, fortunately, I haven't bought a ticket," he concluded.

Acting General Manager of Hang Nadim Airport Batam, Benny Syahroni said Batam residents, especially passengers who will go to areas that require antigen RDT, can carry out at Hang Nadim.
