Tanjungpinang - Head of the Riau Islands Provincial Health Office Mochammad Bisri said the two workers who were reactive from the rapid test results and took part in the demonstration at the Kepri DPRD office in Tanjungpinang would be quarantined.
"Our team is moving to pick up the two people. Both of them will be taken (in isolation) to the Raja Ahmad Tabib General Hospital," Bisri said in Tanjungpinang, Thursday (8/10/2020).
The two workers will carry out swab test at the Raja Ahmad Tabib General Hospital and temporarily quarantined until the results of the two people's swabs were known.
"We will try to get the results of both swabs as soon as possible. Because (if it is positive), this is classified as critical because they mingle with other demonstrators," he said.
If the two workers had positive Covid-19 swab results, said Bisri, then there would be heavy work for him and the Covid-19 task force team for Riau Islands Province.
Because Bisri explained that his party would carry out tracing or contact tracing since the beginning of the workers' movement and during the action at the Kepri of Riau Islands.
"Yes, the procedure is like that. If the results of the swab are both positive for Covid-19, a detailed investigation will be carried out on those who took part in the demonstration, both students and workers because they participated in the demonstration," said Bisri.
Previously, the Task Force team conducted a rapid test on every representative of the demonstrators, either from workers or students who would enter the DPRD Building. Of the 10 people who were checked, two of them were COVID reactive.
Bisri asked those who were currently participating in the demonstrations in Tanjungpinang, Batam, Karimun, and other areas in Riau Islands to apply health protocols during the activities amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
