Batam - Hasan Afriandi's family, ABK (Crew) who died while working on a Chinese fishing boat visited the Riau Islands Police Headquarters on Tuesday (07/14/2020).

Benzar Beniamin, Hasan's uncle, came to take care of his niece's body. Hasan is planned to be buried in his hometown in Suka Maju Village, Pekon Rawas, Pesisir Tengah District, Pesisir Barat Regency, Lampung Province.

Hasan was previously found dead when a joint officer of the TNI / Polri, Customs and KPLP intercepted two fishing vessels from China while crossing Batam-Singapore waters area.

Previously, Hasan's family reported that the man had lost contact, then it was not long that they found the video of ABK from Indonesia on the Chinese ship carrying the body. From there, the authorities in Indonesia investigated and tracked the location of the ships Lu Huang Yuan Yu 118 and Lu Huang Yuan Yu 117.

Hasan allegedly received acts of violence from the report results obtained. His body was previously stored in a freezer (fish cooler) on the ship. Luckily, his body was not floated into the sea as was the case in previous cases on Chinese fishing vessels. Both ships are currently secured in Batam

Benzar explained, the family learned the news of Hasan's death from the employing company. "He said the Hasan died of illness, we initially did not hear of torture," Benzar told media crews.

Benzar said Hasan's family continued to communicate and hoped there was clarity about Hasan's body. But there is no clarity from the company.

That hope arose after officers secured the ship and evacuated Hasan's body.

In this case, Banzer fully submitted to the police officers to follow up the case of his nephew's alleged abuse.

"I hope the police will give the fair punishment to the perpetrators," said Benzar.
