Batam - Corona Hospital development in Kampung Vietnam (Camp Vietnam) Galang Island, Batam, Riau Islands, was rushed. In the near future construction will start soon.
There are a number of facilities at the hospital. "Facilities to be built later are facilities for observation and facilities for isolation," said TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto while reviewing and giving out information to residents in Sijantung, Galang Island, Batam, Sunday (03/08/2020).
Corona Hospital's capacity reaches 1,000 beds and is added to 50 isolation rooms.
Other supporting facilities are equipped with a Hepa filter and include oxygen and an indoor bathroom.
"Of the 50, 30 will be used by non ICUs and 20 will be used for ICUs. So later when we accommodate 1000 patients here, we already have facilities to provide treatment and have standards," said Hadi.
With such facilities, Hadi hopes that patients who will be treated here will quickly be finished.
"Hopefully this special hospital will be implemented soon and medical staff will also be based on Covid19 desk from the TNI and Polri (Indonesian Army) and the Ministry of Health. We ask for your prayers that the special hospital will be implemented soon," said Hadi.
For supporting facilities, Hadi said it would still be like an x-ray room, laboratory, pharmacy and home for the placement of medical personnel.
"For the port, I have no plans yet, but for the support, especially from the airport," said Hadi.
