Bintan, Batamnews - Association of The Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) DPD Riau Islands held the 4th ASITA Kepri Travel Mart (AKTM) in Batam and Bintan from November 10-12, 2022.

The 4th AKTM was held by inviting 135 travel agents from Malaysia, Singapore, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Riau, Medan, Padang, Bangka Belitung, Bali, Kendari, Sulawesi, South Sumatra, Lampung, Palembang, and Riau Islands.

The participants were invited to visit interesting destinations in Bintan, including Blue Lake and the Bintan Desert. Besides that, the participants were also introduced to tourist areas such as Lagoi Bay, visiting Treasure Bay, and Bintan Mangrove Tour.

The AKTM 2022 Gala Dinner was held to entertain participants at the Grand Lagoi Hotel, Bintan, Thursday (10/11/2022). The AKTM 2022 Gala Dinner event was arranged in a relaxed, informative, memorable style. Malay menus, ASEAN, and entertainment were served.

Chairperson of ASITA Riau Islands Regional Representative Council, Eva Betty, expressed her gratitude for all the support from the Riau Islands Provincial Government, all participants, partners, and sponsors.

"Your moral and material support makes AKTM 2022 a reality. ASITA, as the vanguard of promoting Indonesian tourism, will continue to carry out its program and cooperate with other networking in the archipelago or abroad," she said.

Acting Head of the Riau Islands Tourism Office, Luki Zaiman, said tourism has proven to be one of the largest contributors to Regional Original Income in Bintan and Riau Islands.

For this reason, the Riau Islands Provincial Government welcomes the implementation of AKTM 2022 and expresses its commitment to encouraging promotion at the national and international levels.

"To the participants of AKTM 2022 who came from Malaysia, Singapore, and the Archipelago, we welcome the Tanah Bunda Melayu (also known as Mother Land of the Malay in English). AKTM 2022 is a strategic promotional event. We from the Riau Islands Tourism Office are ready to succeed in the event to promote the Riau Islands tourism destinations," he said.

Riau Islands ASITA carries out the annual AKTM event in collaboration with the Riau Islands Province, Batam City Government, Bintan Regency Government, and Bintan Resort Cakrawala-Lagoi.
