Batam, Batamnews - Batam Government has prepared several alternative locations for the Covid-19 integrated isolation. Currently, large-scale tracing is being carried out with the mass antigen rapid test program.

Deputy Mayor of Batam, Amsakar Achmar said a number of locations were prepared, if residents were found to be positive for the rapid test results.

"There are already several alternatives, some are in the Hajj dormitory, and some are in Bapelkes," said Amsakar while reviewing the implementation of vaccinations at the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Building in Indonesia, Tuesday (27/7/2021).

One health center is said to be able to serve 1,000 people for rapid antigen. He added that the implementation of mass rapid antigens was carried out at their respective health centers.

Residents who are tested positive for this rapid antigen are prioritized to occupy this integrated isolation location. Although the government will also evacuate other residents who are undergoing self-isolation, to be moved to an integrated isolation location.

"Our thinking is simple, with rapid antigen we will be able to detect it with a high percentage even though it is not final," he said.

Amsakar explained that the implementation of this mass rapid antigen was based on the Instructions of the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri).

Batam is targeted to be able to test up to 3 thousand people a day.
