Batam - The Covid-19 vaccination process has entered its second phase, and has targeted health workers (health workers), public officials, and government officials.

According to him, the rapid antigen provided satisfactory results in suppressing the number of positive confirmed cases of Covid-19. Because it is proven, recently cases from outside the city of Batam have decreased. "With the antigen swab, it is more accurate. So that it can be detected from the start," he said.

As of Wednesday (3/3/2021), there were 71 active cases of Covid-19 in Batam. On the same date, there was the addition of 3 new cases in Batam, all of whom were asymptomatic.

"The case cure rate is now 96.2 percent, while the active case rate is 1.2 percent. Meanwhile, the death rate is 2.5 percent," said Batam Covid-19 Task Force Health Head, Didi Kusmardjadi.

As is known, the cumulative Covid-19 cases in Batam reached 5,895 cases as of last Wednesday (3/3/2021). A total of 5,672 cases recovered and 152 cases died.
