Tanjungpinang - Batam-Bintan Bridge coordinate point will be constructed immediately. The bridge that connects four small islands will connect two large islands, Batam and Bintan.

"Next week, I will confirm the coordinates of the Babin Bridge," said Acting Governor of the Riau Islands, Bahtiar Baharudin, Monday (16/11/2020).

Bahtiar ordered two offices in the Riau Islands Provincial Government, namely Bappeda and the Public Works & Public Housing (PUPR) of Riau Island Office to clear the location at the coordinate point of the Babin Bridge.

He asked the National Land Agency for Spatial Planning (BPN-ATR) to record the land that will be used as a bridge and connecting road.

"The bridge construction budget comes from the National Budget, while the land acquisition budget comes from the Riau Islands Regional Budget," he explained.

He emphasized that the construction of this bridge was purely a budget from the central government plotted through the Ministry of PUPR of the Republic of Indonesia.

As it is known, for the development of Jebat Babin, the Central Government has allocated a budget in the 2021 State Budget of IDR 8.6 trillion.
