Batam - Riau Islands Governor Isdianto's health was reportedly improving. Isdianto was tested negative in the first swab after getting a positive result a few days ago.

The swab test of the Governor of Riau Islands was conducted on August 7th and the results were out today, August 10, 2020.

Yes, it's negative,” said an official in Riau Islands Provincial Government to Batamnews, Monday (10/8/2020).

Acting Head of Riau Islands Provincial Health Office Tjetjep Judiana could not be contacted regarding this matter.

Currently, the Governor of the Riau Islands Isdianto was still conducting independent isolation in the Regional Building in Tanjungpinang since July 31, 2020.

However, according to health protocols, Isdianto had to swab again to be declared completely free from Covid-19.

Ismail, Isdianto's aide also confirmed the news. "Yesterday it was tested negative, the info is another test today," said Ismail to Batamnews.

Isdianto said, his condition so far was fine. The news about the results of the swab, admitted by Isdianto, was conveyed directly by the Head of the Environmental Health and Disease Control Engineering Center (BTKL-PP) in Batam to him.

"Alhamdulillah, my condition is fine. People don't have to worry. I also make sure that government administration activities will run," said Isdianto when contacted Batamnews, Friday (31/7/2020) night.

He was still doubtful about the latest swab test results. "I myself also still have doubts. But what is clear is that we have already taken steps before asking everyone who took part in the governor's activities some time ago to test the swab," he said.
