Tanjungpinang - Provincial Government of Riau Islands finally set a policy of School Tuition-Free for three months (April-June), to ease the burden on parents.

"There is a government policy to free School Tuition for government school including high school, vocational school and special school. That is also a substitute for internet pulses (during the learning process at home)," said the Head of Riau Islands Provincial Education Office M Dali, Wednesday (04/08/2020).

Dali added, the current conditions are very hard for the entire community. Activities outside the home have been restricted.

Dali said, this social restriction greatly affects many things including families that are difficult to make a living. "We are aware of this, but indeed, whether we like it or not, we must apply these rules," Dali said.

"The government provides a solution by freeing school tuition for high school and vocational schools in Riau Islands, at least it can help," he said.

Acting Official Governor of Riau Islands, Isdianto had previously issued a number of policies.

Starting this April, up to the next three months, payment of tuition fees for state high schools, vocational and special schools will be made free. The Office of Education was asked to complete the technical and immediately implemented.

"This policy must be executed immediately. The policies made must increasingly warn the public. Especially in the current conditions," said Isdianto after leading the Covid Plague Coordination Meeting19 at Riau Islands Governor's Office.

With the release of this tuition fee, Isdianto ordered that students be more focused studying at home.
