Dozens of People Got Caught Clubbing by Police at Batam Planet Disco during the Corona Pandemic

Batam - At least, 71 people were having fun clubbing at the VIP Planet Planet Hotel, Batam City, Riau Islands got caught red-handed by police officers on Monday (6/4/2020) early morning.
This decisive action was taken after they ignored the Police Chief's Declaration and governmental regulations regarding Physical Distancing in the crowd during the Corona pandemic.
The raid was led by the Dirreskrimsus of Riau Islands Police Commissioner Pol Hanny Hidayat and the Dansat Brimob Riau Islands Police Commissioner M.Rendra Salipu. The 71 carded persons consisted of 35 men and 36 women.
"This control is because (they) do not comply with the Police Chief's Declaration and the Government's recommendations regarding physical distancing, to break the spread of the corona virus," Hanny said.
The controlling location is a place for night entertainment, the Planet VIP Room 4th Floor Disco, which consists of several rooms.
"They are suspected to be a group of people who are abusing drugs," he said.
Furthermore, the 71 visitors were taken to the police station for further inspection.
