Batam, Batamnews - Labour workers in Batam who are members of the Batam Labor Alliance will again demonstrate in front of the Graha Kepri Building, Batam Center, Monday (12/13/2021).

The action was planned to be carried out five days in a row from Monday to Friday. "Yes, that's right, tomorrow we will have another action," said Commander of the Metal Guard FSPMI Batam, Suprapto when confirmed, Sunday (12/12/2021).

In the action permit issued by the FSPMI, the planned mass mobilization is 18,000 members. This group of mass action will stop first at the gathering point of the Panbil Bus Stop, Mukakuning, Batam.

Previously, the workers had held a similar demonstration for almost a week. This demonstration was held to voice the workers' rejection of the decision of the Governor of the Riau Islands regarding the increase in the 2022 UMK which was only 0.85 percent.

In the Action Instruction Letter, FSPMI raised the same three demands, namely for the governor to comply with the decisions of the Tanjungpinang Administrative Court and Medan Administrative Court regarding the 2021 UMK.

Then the workers also urged the governor to revise SK Number 1373 regarding the UMK Batam 2022. Moreover, raising a national issue, namely the revocation of the Omnibus Law of the Job Creation Law.
