Bintan, Batamnews - The case of Covid-19 in Bintan Regency, Riau Islands increased by 1 more patient. She is a woman who comes from East Bintan District.

The head of the Bintan Health Service (Dinkes), Dr. Gama AF Isnaeni, said that with the addition of 1 more patient, the number of COVID-19 cases in Bintan Regency has now increased to 3 people.

"It was empty for more than a week. Then Wednesday (11/10/2021) there was another 1 patient addition," said Gama, Friday (11/12/2021).

The new patient had the initials NSH (20). The woman was treated at the Bintan Hospital and underwent a PCR test there. Then on November 10 the results came out and tested positive for Covid-19.

"Now the woman is self-isolating at her home in Seilekop Village, East Bintan District," he explained.

Meanwhile, two more patients who have not recovered from COVID-19 are a woman with the initials Mus (49) who was tested positive on October 30, and a man with the initials Ys (20) who was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on November 4.

Both come from Gin Besar, Numbing Village, Bintan Pesisir District. They are currently in self-isolation (isoman).

"We urge the public not to be careless because the Covid-19 pandemic is not over yet. Continue to obey health protocols and do 5M," he said.
