Tanjungpinang - The face-to-face learning process of students in Tanjungpinang has been postponed. This was because many educators are reactive after carrying out rapid tests on Monday (18/1/2021).

The Secretary of the Tanjungpinang Education Office (Disdik), Muhammad Yasir, confirmed the postponement of opening 15 elementary and junior high schools which had been scheduled on Monday.

"Yes, it has been postponed. We will wait for further information from the higher official," said Muhammad Yasir.

Yasir said the delay in face-to-face learning was because 27 teachers and school supervisors were reactive from the rapid test results.

"Yesterday's rapid test was carried out on Tuesday (12/1/2021), which was attended by 241 teachers and school supervisors," he explained.

Carrying out rapid tests for teachers and school supervisors is one of the requirements for implementing face-to-face learning.

"There are several school principals from 15 schools who asked to postpone the face-to-face learning program which is being carried out on Monday. We also don't want to take risks. So, we have a meeting with 15 school principals and they want to postpone it," he said.
